Speedrack West: Building an AI agent-operated industrial distributor

Production AI agents working over the business's live data — CRM, recorded calls, ERP — on top of purpose-built agentic infrastructure (runtime, tool registry, MCP server) that makes every new agent faster to ship than the last.

Challenge

More sales signal than the team could process

The Challenge

Speedrack West distributes and custom-fabricates warehouse racking systems, competing against much larger players with a 45-person global team. The company runs on custom software, deeply integrated across its ERP, CRM, VoIP and logistics stack.

The problem was the scale of the signal: new leads arriving unresearched, recorded sales calls nobody listened to again, and opportunities going cold in the CRM before anyone noticed. A team that size can't process all of that by hand — and hiring in proportion kills the margin.

Our Approach

Infrastructure first, agents second: a shared runtime, a tool registry and an MCP server — the foundation that makes each new agent cheaper to build and easier to operate than the last. Not loose agents: a platform.

On that foundation, production agents working over the business's live data. Every inbound lead is researched and scored in real time, with first-touch drafts for high-fit prospects. Deals are scored from CRM activity and call-transcript signals, and the system drafts re-engagement for at-risk opportunities before they go cold.

Every recorded sales call is processed — objections, competitive signals, buying intent — with findings surfaced to the sales team weekly. Across the customer base, the system identifies who is likely to buy again — and what — and drafts the targeted outreach.

Outcomes & Impact

Five fronts of the sales operation run on agents today: inbound qualification, pipeline health, call intelligence, customer expansion, and the infrastructure holding them up. The team stops burning hours on manual review and coordination and gets them back for selling.

And because the investment went into infrastructure first, the next agent — operations, fulfillment, finance — costs a fraction of the first. That's the difference between buying a bot and building a capability.

Why This Matters

A 45-person business doesn't beat the big players by hiring more people: it beats them by processing more signal per person. The agents didn't replace the sales team — they gave it back the time manual coordination was eating.

This is the same pattern we build for mid-size companies: agents over the data you already have — CRM, calls, ERP — with the infrastructure so the second agent costs less than the first.

AI is here. Most will react. The few with a plan will lead.

We build for those few.
